Funny you should post this shortly after I read an article on some paintings of Danaë by Orazio and Artemisia Gentileschi. Cue Zeus:
Without Desmond, there wouldn't have been Bob Marley. He opened up the UK to reggae. This song was produced in Jamaica and hit the UK pop charts, then the world. Everyone was kind of stunned by the success. Like the British invasion, they went looking for other artists in Jamaica.
