Just want to tell everyone who served, and those who lost loved ones, Thank You!!
Rhubarb grew like weeds along Roosevelt Rd. in Winfield, IL. Had to take a pass on that lot, due to: a) busy road, b) lots of winter salting, c) weed killing chemicals used by the county.Enjoy!
I just spent three days chopping and cooking 35 lbs for freezing for the next year.

Too bad. Rhubarb done right is super good!
We had a good sized patch growing on the south side of the garage on my folks farm. Rhubarb pies, cake, torte, jam, and more cooked and frozen for the rest of the year. We never got tired of it! Now I gotta go out and find some. There is a weed that look just like rhubarb only you can't eat it. So you have to be careful.
I buy my supply from an outdoor market. There are organic farmers that grow it as a crop.
I've seen that weed. I have a small patch of rhubarb that is growing from my family stock(transplants) from my childhood home. Same thing with my raspberry patch. There is a weed that look just like rhubarb only you can't eat it. So you have to be careful.

It was a breakfast for us kids growing up.
