Yeah. Cars don't roll over and explode. Catch fire then explode? Maybe. Hollywood.Tonight we're watching "Hunter Killer," a big action movie about two subs underwater near Russia and a deadly cat and mouse game that could start a war. In one of the first attack scenes, when Gerard Butler's submarine barely dodges two torpedoes, the explosion causes some electronic equipment on deck to malfunction.
Have you ever noticed in Hollywood, when electronic equipment or computers fail, they burst into flames throwing out sparks and smoke? I've been repairing computers since 1993 and I've only seen one computer spark out and that was because the idiot network analyst was messing with the power supply while it was plugged in. He killed at that what was an $1800 computer. I agreed never to tell the director it happened. He could have lost his job. Anyway after the arc spark the machine died. No explosion, no fireworks of sparks, no bangs. Hollywood, right?![]()

Saw that happen on a ramp in Da Nang. Fuel crew thought it was a Phantom, gave it 800 gallons of JP4.The company I drove for had a small terminal next to a swamp on the outskirts of Ft. Myers, FL. A Skeeter landed there by the fuel island and the pump jockey put 30 gallons of diesel in it b4 he realized what it was.
