Pretty much. Even well into the 90s is not too bad if you are moving but it's tough sitting at a stoplight!
It was pretty nice this morning! Didn't have to mess with much traffic to get out of town. Went the opposite direction on a road I usually ride. It was almost like having a new road since I hadn't gone that direction in a long time.

I was disappointed by the Shining movie. I loved the book and expected a Kubrick version of a great Stephen King story to be fantastic. To me it wasn't. Jack Nicholson's part was almost comical, not scary. And... how could Stanley Kubrick do such injustice to the topiary. It was supposed to be animals and a lot more menacing. I could go on but you get my drift. I've since watched it a time or two and it sits a bit better than it did in 1980 but not by much.
I was just on the tread mill thinking that I could partake in the 4th festivities on CNN while getting some exercise. There was this rapper making noise. I had to shut it off. What is this world coming to? Canned music while some idiot talks crap. Yes, I am a GOF but, at least I can still enjoy actual music…
My wife said it will get better. I said that at this rate, I will be in bed and asleep before it does. Maybe I will just watch the fireworks and "highlights" tomorrow...grump, grump...

Wow I listened to him in Mahavishnu Orchestra days.
Had a laid-back evening grooving with "The Belairs" last night down by the (MO) river. I've known the guitar and bass player for years but haven't seen them for a couple of decades. Dave's jazz bass has gotten seriously road worn in the meantime. He's one who doesn't replace a string unless it breaks and uses the old chicken grease.
