Jimmy Buffet got his start in Cincinnati doing a solo act at The Blind Lemon bar in the Mount Adams neighborhood.

Anytime he plays a concert in Cincinnati, it is a very big deal. He plays multiple nights and every ticket is sold as soon as they’re available for sale. Many/most of the attendees dress up in full parrot head regalia. You would think Cincinnati was hosting the Super Bowl!
It's mostly easy, fun songs. We do 2-or 3-I don't remember.:bag:

not here

I live in the Tri-city area. We could use a nice steady rain. Which is happing so far here.
The tomatoes do much better with rain water.

Corn is really good this year. It likes the sun. Bought some heritage field tomatoes last weekend from the market. They tasted like tomatoes which is hard to find these days. They breed the flavour out of so many in favour of looking good and having a long shelf life.

Nothing like homegrown tomatoes.

The hot weather makes them take-off like wild fire. My next door neighbor grows countless acres of it mainly for feed but has a few rows of sweet corn for selling to passersby. Don't even have to cook it. It is so good. The wife will make a corn salad with watermelon, basil and feta cheese.

It is nuts. I think that, 'Oh Boy, I might get a lot of money for my house if I sell now, but then I have to buy one to live in.'
Gotta live somewhere and it is likely to be expensive, too. It is just numbers on paper.

It's kinda like we can't afford our own house!

We watched a recent House Hunters on TV last night. A couple was looking for a house close to the beach in Venice, CA. They found one - 450 sqft and 875K. That's about 10 sqft bigger than our garage so I guess it's a two car house. lol.

What about a red house?

Ah yes, deeply grateful for your outpouring of support. And home. Stayed at the horse pistol long enough to take dinner. Why not, right? I'm totally knackered. Nowai am I cooking tonight. There are an awful lot of monitor stickies to peel off my skin. They are meant to stay where they're put.

Staying put tonight

Glad to see you at home and doing okay. Cheers!

Oh, yeah...I would be okay with not ever hearing or playing that song again. No knock against Jimi but after you go to a few blues jams and it seems to be #1 on the hit parade... Mommy, make it stop! That and the guys who think they can play SRV better than SRV.

Watched an infomercial on a tiny house during physical therapy during rehab for the knee replacements. Very slick sales pitch to live in a micro space. Hard pass. Don't need Versailles, either.

We would like to see someone go back to visit the tiny housers 6-12 months later and see what they think assuming they haven't killed each other. lol.

It’s getting harder to do the everyday upkeep at my present home. 1804 square feet.

Same here. Sold my 1800 sq. ft. townhouse in Flagstaff. Building a 900 sq. ft. house in France. Been living in furnished vacation rentals the last 6 months, waiting for my visa. I only shipped 31 cu. ft. of personal items. I can fit everything I kept to get me there into the back of my Subie Forester. When I finally leave for the airport, most of that will go in a dumpster.

I'm a lean, mean, (former) fighting machine! :D
