Big Todd Rundgren fan. My favorite concert of his was the 1980/81 Road to Utopia tour stop at the Chicago Auditorium. I had 1st row middle balcony seats. Superior show. The intermission featured a film with Bolero playing. Each band member came out and played along, using an instrument they didn't play on tour. The second set feature all home-made instruments. Todd's guitar was steel and plexiglass. Willie Wilcox' drum set looked like a motorcycle on a rotating platform. Apologies for failing to remember what Kasim's bass looked like.

My favorite Patricia Barber song! Play it loud through a good system. I loved her Monday night shows at the Green Mill in Chicago. The opening 2 notes of the bass line are 50 cents and 25 cents sharp, respectively, then it drops into a straight F major. I needed Melodyne to figure out that intro. Have to play it with bends on a fretted bass.
Good stuff. Very moody.
Real estate prices are nuts. I don't think these houses are worth that much but that's what people are willing to pay. There is an open house on Sat. Wouldn't be surprised if it sold that day and for above asking.
I'm afraid this stuff is going to blow up before long.
It is nuts. I think that, 'Oh Boy, I might get a lot of money for my house if I sell now, but then I have to buy one to live in.'
Gotta live somewhere and it is likely to be expensive, too. It is just numbers on paper.
At a local outdoor event. With a Jimmy buffet sound alike group. Ya know I never cared for Jimmy Buffet. But it's nice to be at outdoor music event.

Nice. A friend of mine hosted her yearly summer party last weekend. 40+ local musicians played and as usual I was relegated to the late set, but I actually prefer that as there are typically no dancers by then and I don’t have to play nice if I don’t feel like it. I hadn’t busted out the Cookie Monster vocals in a while and it felt great to do so for sure.

People like Buffet(and buffets). Do a coupla Jimmy's songs and yer a hit.
Jimmy Buffet got his start in Cincinnati doing a solo act at The Blind Lemon bar in the Mount Adams neighborhood.
Anytime he plays a concert in Cincinnati, it is a very big deal. He plays multiple nights and every ticket is sold as soon as they’re available for sale. Many/most of the attendees dress up in full parrot head regalia. You would think Cincinnati was hosting the Super Bowl!
