Sausage, gravy, and biscuits.
Breakfast of Champions! I'm sometimes on a quest for biscuits and gravy on my Epic Journeys. Good biscuits are few and far between.
Recap from Epic Journey 2019.
Up about 6:30. Breakfast at the hotel was terrible. I tried using a plastic fork to split open a biscuit. It wouldn't go in. I then tried sawing it with a plastic knife, nothing. They would make good door stops. Tried the eggs - way too salty. Settled on a mealy tasting English muffin. The jelly in the packets was good, though.
Up about 6:30. Breakfast...ah...whatever...more bad luck with biscuits. Fork went in, chunk of biscuit broke off. Taste matched the physical experience. Bowl of cereal.
Breakfast at the hotel. They didn't have any biscuits and I had just sharpened my saw blade.
Breakfast...geez...I tried an egg disc. At least I think that's what they were. Round, yellow, and almost tasted like eggs if I closed my eyes and thought about eggs. Two bites and I was done. No biscuits.
Biscuits at breakfast. Pull open with fingers and they were good - Success!
I slept to almost 6:30 then walked over for breakfast. Biscuits - and they were good!
Continental breakfast. I wonder who came up with that gem of nomenclature? I made a waffle. That's all I have to say about that. It's bad when frosted flakes and a banana are the best things they have. At a room rate well over 100 bucks one might expect a little more.
Best breakfast we've had so far! All of the food was good including the biscuits. Even had corned beef hash.
Breakfast at the hotel, eh, whatever.
I recall a LOT of heavily armed DEA agents there.
