Ridiculous. 0730, overcast, 20 mph wind...you'd think cool, but no. 84 F and going up tp 94, humidity at 85%. Chit.
And four months from now it'll be 110 degrees colder.

How to "steer" folks to the fair in 1921
There’s a couple of statues in the country for remarkable steers that started lines and won awards. To cattlemen, a poster with a particular steer attending a country fair is the equivalent of a rock star appearing to us.
Interesting cow story. Saw a cow giving birth in the pasture. After a bit, the other cows circled around to see the new baby. Very social animals. They line up in a pecking order to go back to the barn.

Here's a car that was way ahead of its time.
Hybrid electric, cool. I like the remote horn.
The technology was always there, they just needed the demand. In the early days, subs used diesel on the surface and batteries under water. On the surface they charged the batteries. Battery technology advancements in the last year or so is now at a point where they can outlive the normal service life of an electric car. They are certifying battery aircraft for commuter flights. It’s only going to get better.

There are people in my circle of friends who truly hate that song. I'm good with it. Very good with Janis all the way around. Now there is a car worth owning.
Oh, yeah...I know...lot of places down there where you cant get the sweat off you with a wire brush. However, we also had a night last year when the real temp was -38 F... "chill factor" was like -75 or some craziness like that. One year ago this week we had a straight line wind storm ("derecho") from Omaha to Chicago that hit 145 mph. Iowa doesn't have a climate, just weather....ALL of it. No alligators, though.
