Nature always has a better understanding as to how to do things. The problem is, we have a difficult time fully understanding how nature has done things. It is truly humbling when you realize how little we know. Maybe some day there’ll be a cure for every disease but that’s a long way off.

What’s easy now used to be hard. For every small step forward there are usually many steps backward.

Compared to every other living entity, we (humanity) know a lot. Not everything, but a lot and, in the grand scheme of things in a relatively short amount of time...especially the last couple hundred years.

Animals can do many things that we can’t. Geese can migrate back to the same pond every year. Long before we invented GPS. Some animals can understand our language, we can’t understand theirs. Maybe some day we’ll have a universal translator.

I’m not denying that we’ve made great strides in understanding the universe. We still can’t cure the common cold. We don’t fully understand why tube amps sound good to our ears.

Exactly. I look back at my grandparents born in 1890. What they saw in their lifetime is phenomenal - historical events, inventions and developments. I don't think there will be another generation that will see that much change.

WWI, WWII, Korean war, Vietnam war, Cold War, Great Depression, automobile, motorcycle, airplane/helicopter/air travel, telephone, radio, TV, motion pictures, electronics, computers, space travel, medical discoveries and advancements, TV dinners - lol.

I’m looking for some peace. Nothing special planned. The weather is going to be comfortable so I’ll enjoy the day outside. A trip to the grocery, bakery, and market. Want to do some playing and have to clean the car interior. Been watching a series on the tele called Manhattan, a very loose story of physicists and the events of 1944.

That one is easy. It's the cathermine resonance caused by the interfluctuation of the electroharmonic stream in the space charge. Geez. I thought everyone new that!

We’re going to an outside local music event this evening. Food trucks, a Bob Seger tribute band. It’s nice to get out and do something.

Called Sirius/XM about the rate on the Honda. It was a little painful but productive. "You are getting a multiple radio discount with the Corvette so you are actually saving money". "We can't offer any discounts". I'm thinking about cancelling. "Hold for a moment and let me check something". "We can offer you a one year promo for 99/yr (plus monkey business fees). This is our Platinum Plan and includes blah blah blah....". So anyways, I get everything they offer for less money but I'll have to call back next year and do this BS again. AND since it renewed today, I get a buck twenty refund on the old plan that expired next week. Now how cool is that!

I am amazed by the things that they can do like innate GPS. Even simple butterflies can do this.
What animals know they know by instinct (I think). They don’t seem to have the element of innovation (I think) in their grasp...I’m sure now that someone will produce an example to prove me wrong. Eh....what’s on TV?

This morning I did my usual count and can confirm that all fingers and toes are present and working.

I was going to post this a couple of weeks ago, but one of the regulars here was dealing with some serious health issues. I had some tests performed recently and my doc told me that I am cancer free. I don’t know why, but I was expecting bad news. It’s a heck of a weight off of my shoulders.
