This morning I did my usual count and can confirm that all fingers and toes are present and working.

I was going to post this a couple of weeks ago, but one of the regulars here was dealing with some serious health issues. I had some tests performed recently and my doc told me that I am cancer free. I don’t know why, but I was expecting bad news. It’s a heck of a weight off of my shoulders.

Congratulations!

I can’t do it like @alaskaleftybass could but…today is roll call.
I miss his presence on TB!

Oh, yeah, baby! I'd bite it!

Called Sirius/XM about the rate on the Honda. It was a little painful but productive. "You are getting a multiple radio discount with the Corvette so you are actually saving money". "We can't offer any discounts". I'm thinking about cancelling. "Hold for a moment and let me check something". "We can offer you a one year promo for 99/yr (plus monkey business fees). This is our Platinum Plan and includes blah blah blah....". So anyways, I get everything they offer for less money but I'll have to call back next year and do this BS again. AND since it renewed today, I get a buck twenty refund on the old plan that expired next week. Now how cool is that!
Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

I'm hip. I was concerned about results from my colonoscopy. Nope. Everything OK, see ya in 3 years.

Good for you! Every year when I have my follow up I still get in a twist even though it's all been good for 10 yrs.

Cheers to continued good news!

I am amazed by the things that they can do like innate GPS. Even simple butterflies can do this.
What animals know they know by instinct (I think). They don’t seem to have the element of innovation (I think) in their grasp...I’m sure now that someone will produce an example to prove me wrong. Eh....what’s on TV?
But they do need some help from us. Development is wiping out the feeding grounds they need for the trip. The Arboretum in Flagstaff has a milkweed propagation project in place. From their website:

Milkweed for Monarchs
Our main objective for this project, funded in part by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, is to collect local varieties of milkweed and then propagate them in seed production beds here at The Arboretum. From here, the seeds generated will be made available to the public and landowners for their restoration and gardening needs.

Ultimately, we aim to increase the amount of native milkweed around Flagstaff to make a more hospitable place for the Monarch butterfly.

I keep dropping my ipad. It usually happens when I nod off while watching music videos. I figured that it was a good excuse to get a holder. Went with this one. It clips onto a mic stand which is a feature that I can use. It seems to work well.

I wanted to provide an update on the iKlip to hold an iPad that I recently bought.

I found that the iKlip has a couple of issues. The iPad would slide out the bottom and the the iKlip would slide on the mic stand. The solution was easy, I bought some drawer liner from the dollar store. I cut a strip and wrapped a couple of layers around the mic stand, then clamped the iKlip around it. It’s rock solid now. Same goes for the iPad slipping. I wrapped a could of layers through side holes. I put a few stitches with thread to hold it in place. Now the Pad doesn’t move at all.

The maker of the iKlip is IK Multimedia, owned by Fender. The issues could have been avoided if the manufacturer supplied some soft spongy liners.

For anyone buying a similar product for a pad or phone, it makes sense to look for one that has a support arm on the bottom. This avoids it sliding down and bouncing onto the floor if it pops out. In my case, with the foam it’s solid and won’t happen but from a design point of view, I’d like to see a support on the bottom.

By some rare chance, bought a smrtphn holder Thursday

This positioning allows me to see both the metrognome and notes. Notes as in things I write to remind myself of chord sequences and such. Also, two books from Carol Kaye are in the post. There are CDs to burn and move to the smrtphn, and sheet music to follow.
