and it occurs to me the proper place for stickers is the back of my tablety-thing. The one that finally croaked with the BSOD. The one where I kept a couple PDFs of early editions of the Real Book that found their way to me when I said I was trying to work out the chord structure of Over The Rainbow. "Lots of meat on that bone," a wizened sort said, and tossed me the files. The ones sacrificed to the Gnomes of Antioch in exchange for a brass slide.

New tablety-thing gets new stickers. When it's time for a new one. Soon, as Colonel Sanders told Dark Helmet.
FWIW, Mel Brooks, in an effort to avoid 'problems', spelled it Colonel Sandurz. Wadda 'they' gonna say?

Stickers on a tablet can affect heat dissipation, also the adhesive can go gooey. You can always scan your stickers and admire them that way.

I like the 2 and 1 tablety-things with a removable keyboard. The rear of the dead one is just a screen, and the back of it was sticker heaven. The guts are in the keyboard part. Next tablety-thing will likely only see use to read heads and the like. Very low end.

And I thought the Astrodome, right, was big when I saw the miracle Mets there in '69!

Really hard place to hit a home run. Saw my first game there from right field. I thought all of the bands (multiple rows) of different colored seats looked weird. Never got to see the Colt .45s before they were renamed the Astros, but I did get to see several Disastros games in the dome. :roflmao:

Films of two of my earliest memories of the Dome.

Astrodome Thrill Show & Demolition Derby c.1972 - YouTube I had forgotten about the chariot races! Looks like I saw Karl Wallenda set a tightrope record that night too. I had remembered seeing a tightrope walker but didn't know it was he. This is actually January of 1973.

The Jackson 5 at the Astrodome | Segment from Thomas F. Freeman Collection (1974) - YouTube

From the cheep seats, both shows sounded pretty much the same. :D
Then there was the Battle of the Sexes on Mother's Day, 1973!

Poor quality video, but FREE vs. renting it.

Seems to me this is about the era of making the irrelevant important to ... um. Why were so many people interested in this absurd spectacle?
smh
