Mrs. Dog and I both have harrowing stories from jury duty. From traffic tickets to murder, and everything in between, we've seen it all. And it was real life, too, not just on tv. On one side, it's appalling the tricks lawyers try to play in court, much less the ignorant reactions of jurors in the jury room! On the other side, it's inspiring to see (un)common sense mesh with the law in some very sticky cases. Abd it can be true life heartbreaking and/or heartwarming in domestic cases.
Jury duty is not just a civic duty, but an education in civics and human nature. I highly recommend it!
