Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Sooooo, I finished my flu diet, ate normally for a few days. Now i have a horrific tooth ache. If I let my bottom passenger side molars make contact AT ALL with to molars, I get pain radiating all over my teeth, jaw and up to my ear. I keep going down to the basement seeking drugs and alcohol, found some lydocain, enabling me to eat soup yesterday evening. At lunch today I went down and found a bottle of Martha's Magic Mouthwash. That's an actual prescription. I guess it started being sold off the back of a covered wagon. OTC benzocain not as strong as the lydocain, but lasts longer. This morning, I took a cream benzo and started squeezing some onto the gums, then the tooth, then the plastic tip barely touched the tooth and sent me into the most pain I've ever had without a urologist inflicting it. Short term I'd rather step on a nail or drill another 1/8" x1" hole in the top of my foot. Much more pleasant. Went out to walk it off, cursing out loud walking down the hall, holding my head, and ended up walking a mile or so for an hour. I couldn't stop. Pills, creams, liquids, mouthwash all helped, but I have resorted to the permanent fix. Got a jug of Knob Creek. Sipping on it all night. I just need to figure out how to keep sipping on the bourbon until April 6 when I can see the dentist. Bad dentists here are many and will see you right away. Good dentists are golden and booked up, even for severe pain. I asked the gal I called for the appointment what kind of pliers are best to pull it if I can't make it to the 6th.

I have a problem with good bourbon. The old MO was to fill a 20 oz glass with 50/50 then have a second at about 75/25, then it makes me unable to walk and speak well. I like bourbon, but it doesn't like me. Why I usually drink beer. Sipping on it worked. Sipping on it over time is a much better way. I didn't count, but it was spread over 5 or 6 hours and I never got drunk. More like how I drink beer unless I WANT to get drunk. I also have a cortisol problem, and booze can jack up my levels. Hi cortisol causes severe short term memory problems. So I can't have a lot very often. I can have a little a lot, or a lot a little :D I was a cautious drinker long before I had the health issue. I'm just to pretty to pass out in public or the front lawn!

After cerial it hurt a little, probably from the cold. Wrinsed with Martha's Magic Mouthwash, a prescription pain reliever/antiseptic which seems to be 2nd only to whiskey. That made it hurt more for the first time, I guess room temperature is too cold for treating cold pain. Went for OTC benzocain, now back to the new normal.

What have I become? I must face the facts; I'm a topical pain reliever junky. I can buy a lot for $7/bottle, but I am feeling a deep seeded desire to knock off a liquor store, break into houses and even steal from my family.

Perhaps a visit to your friendly neighbourhood dentist might do the trick! Sorry you are hurting Jon. :crying:
Yes sir and thank you! I have an appointment. Good dentists are backed up. Have to wait for April 6!!! That or see a neanderthal. I'd rather pull it out with pliers. Bad dentists are 1/2 the reason my molars are bad. I can only blame myself for letting it go this bad without treatment. It's a $1500 root canaled and gold capped tooth, so hope to keep.
