Side gig? Dunno if it qualifies, but my day gig is facilitator for the in-school suspension program at a (what once was ) a rural high school here in west Texas.. encounter the worst, and best, in today's youth.

Wife and I are both Sundancers, participating in this very spiritual event once a year at a Lakota reservation... not a gig, but...

I guess it is...kinda. But the implication that three elements are catalysts for each other, all in a weird symbiotic relationship, strikes me as (ageism)(flattulistic)(bigotry against those choosing a fussy lifestyle)...

Next thing ya know, there will be the implication that skid marks in Underpants are sort of expected...

This GOF had a pretty good day, the Chariot test ride went about as good as it gets (especially considering the many pssible alternatives) and with a couple fine tunings should be pretty much good to go.

My parents have tried for decades to stop me from running with long pointy object... obviously a fail.

For that matter, they are still wondering when I will grow up and get a real job

I came across one of these recently. One of the first mass produced micro computers that I used. It was sold as a kit or prebuilt. MITS Altair 8800 computer

You would key in the binary CPU address with switches, load, then the binary data, load, on to the next line, then run. You'd get grumpy entering programs. It taught you how to write code with no mistakes. Eventually we interfaced a teletype to it so we could type in code and use a paper tape reader to load programs. I used it to program BIOS EPROMS that went into wire wrap prototype computers.

Interestingly, a PDP-11 that we had in out lab had a similar interface that was used to bootstap the OS and boot the machine.
