I got the spin one
Good that you got it sorted.

... what you described can happen when exposed to loud noise or music... Both can affect the inner ear.

Oh, now I know why my PA was always louder on one side!:woot:

Had that happen to me just by turning over in bed. You feel like your world is ending!:bawl:

Glad you got everything upright again.:nailbiting:

Velcro much better...has a certain give, and is reusable

Or do like I do and sleep standing up. Cover a wall with well padded carpet and sew velcro strips on your pajamas. The rest is obvious. Don't plan on rolling over in your sleep.
Take my word for it though and don't try it on a ceiling. Velcro sometimes lets go unexpectedly.

Was on the subway on Saturday going to a studio. At every stop someone kept pinching my bum. I thought that it was the girl standing next to me, I didn't say anything. When we got off my wife told me it was her, she wanted me to move away from the door so people could get in and out. Sigh.

In a department store yesterday, a lot of people were sick. The girl at the cash was blowing her nose and wiping while she served my wife. I take a bit of time off, I don't want to get a cold or the flu for the next two weeks. Best to avoid crowds.
I thought of that today. Not that the gift shop in the back of the True Value store in Church Point was full of people with germs... I'm the only customer in there, but the smell of all the weird plastic and scented this and that.. I gotta sneeze and I'm thinking, "Pull away from the display before you have to buy it because it's covered in Grump Old Fart snot!" Man, I just made it; lurching to my right and blowing up the empty isle with a double Achu!ACHU!
Long story short: Still, lack only one xmas present for my sister (what the hell do you get for a 50 year old sister?),
I'd forgot why I never shop,
f!
p.s. I never even got my ass pinched once

This year everyone I know doesn't need no more stinkin' junk so no wasting time on wasted gifts. They can all bask in the light of my aura and be happy with that. Just sayin'

As we get older together, it seems the greatest gift is each other. Wife has had a hard time this year and next year promises to be much better. One of the greatest gifts for the season is learning that wife Carey's condition is treatable. We learned the hard way-- don't go to a general practitioner for specialized needs. Our living room TV started to fade so we invested in a new 4K on Cyber Monday and got it very inexpensive. Carey is a retired sous chef and loves cooking. I found a full set of commercial nonstick cookware (13 pieces) and was trying to hide the 2 x 3 box but she found it! My boss, who's half my age, laughed and said that's pretty sexy--he doesn't understand, it's what SHE wants. But she is very happy to get the set because it's high quality and she loves to make special dishes for us now and then.

God bless all of us GOF's and Tiny Tim too. I hope everyone has a nice Christmas, with the ones they love.

I learned long ago that a gift (or reward) is 100% about the perceived value from the perspective of the person receiving it. While there is some conventional wisdom that can serve as a decent guide until you get to know someone, the thought behind a gift and obvious attentiveness to needs or desires is what makes gifts truly meaningful as relationships mature.

We have just discovered that the lady next door was diagnosed with ALS In October. She showed up to our Street Party in August looking like she had lost a prize fight. Black and blue she was. She said that she had tripped and fallen on the sidewalk. We accepted this as very plausible. Our whole area's sidewalks have been messed with in order to run Bell’s fibre optic cables to each house. Now we know better. :(

Not a good Christmas all around. :(

All that said, I would like to wish the GOFs all the best and add the hope that the next year will be better than this one.
