Hey fella's, on the numbers, here's what happened:
About a year ago, our fearless leader made his last post here and disappeared from the thread, and mostly from TB. We became worried and could not contact him. I contacted the founding fathers that remained active on TB and sought approval to do something:
#1 Wcriley
#2 B-String
#3 BassmanPaul
@BassmanPaul discussed what to do in some detail. I offered to take over the numbers "short term." Mr. Wcriley was open to it. By this time it was after Sir Paul, the Traveler, returned from UK (April 2017) and I got stuck at work 60 hrs + a week for the next 6 months. Then about June or something, our beloved B-String answered my PM and said he would be back. So I dropped it hoping he would be back soon. Sadly, very sadly, as in pray for him, he has not yet returned. I sure hope he does. Many, many posts have rolled by and the actual last number issued is waaaaay back there somewhere. All I remember is @Stumbo was one of the first to not get a number, and I believe that was early this year. If only we had a solution short of reading 351 pages off GOFdom, not that that wouldn't be entertaining in and of itself!
Thank you Will, you !@#$tard!, last I looked it was -6F here with a 10 minute to frostbite wind chill warning!
I've been looking in my wife's facebook for about 15 minutes for a Peruvian picture and I found a picture of a restaurant called Machupicchu II Restaurante but when I enlarged it the place is in RI

, so I guess I'll have to take some when i get back out there.
In the 80's I drove from Manila to Naga city in about 17 hours. That was quite an adventure. Most of the time was consumed by going in 1st gear, low range 4WD, foot off the gas, going over miles and miles of formerly paved and semi-paved road (looked like it was earthquaked), or going through super slow, curvy, deadly drop off mountain roads will called zig-zags and locals call chicken gut. Highlights included a boulder the size of a bus covering both lanes, complete with three of four fellas with hammers and chisels in hand rectifying the situation, and a long wait in line to creep around on the shoulder (for my Jeep J-10 full size truck that meant being way too close to the drop off). A fake checkpoint setup by the communist NPA wanting to make jonny soup of me (we blasted through, late at night by then), and a suspected trap, a bunch of branches stacked up in front of our lane on a bridge, just after another checkpoint, going fast to blast through, everyone in the truck yelling opposing advice (go over! go around! stop! go!), at the last second I clearly heard Toto yell go around. He's always right, so I did and nothing happened. On the way back the next day, we discover the whole lane of the bridge, the one we swerved around was gone. Nothing but rebar there. Both checkpoints were verified fake, because they had packed up and gone home.
Anyway, to get to the pics, on that trip I got pics of large lighted bar signes, one called Wino's and the other "The Golden Shower" displaying a nice yellow waterfall.

Now I'm really embarrassed ... forgetting fellow Eden user @Al Kraft !
I don't remember why I quoted this, but it must have been important.
@bobyoung53 if numbers were to mean anything I suggest you could start with 199, and if there are holes we can work backwards..

I predict that the club will continue to expand due to inevitability of aging, and bass players over 60 realizing the wisdom of joining this club due to their new level of maturity.... NOT!
Ingenious! How simple and effective... why didn't I think of that? I take back the above on your nice weather, and stop praying for all the permafrost to melt!
Everyone here needs to approach 2018 with the mindset that GOF will not be a butch fest, as the things that cause our bitchiness will have been eliminated...
But, but, but, doesn't that me I've been eliminated? Too dambid cold to be Heaven... or Hell... where am I then? Purgatory? Oh well, at least there's heat and Internet.
On maturity, keep in mind, maturity is inflicted on us temporarily. Most of us will leave the same way we started: chubby, bald, mumbling gibberish, screaming for help whenever we want something, and wearing diapers.
On the numbers, I'll make a separate post today for a numberless callout and describe the plan.
