I wish you all a great 2018. It was a quiet Christmas for us, on the dinner on Christmas Eve just me and wife, her father and my mother. Small tokens for presents, we feel it is important to have the people together. On Christmas day, my wife's brothers came over with their families. What a contrast, 16 people and 3 dogs kept a pretty good noise. My son didn't get his daughters for either Christmas or New Year's - we missed being with them.
For 2018, I tentatively signed for lessons by an old cat in town, whose style I have always admired. Maybe I can step up a bit on my bass skills. It's not any kind of a resolution, as of yet.
I caught up on the thread and have a couple of remarks I put in the back of my head... Where are they now? Oh yes.
Regarding the Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), it seems quite common. I have had it a couple of times. The last time I was taken out of my desk at work on a stretcher, and wheeled to ER in an ambulance. I was wise enough to contact a local doctor who is an expert on the problem, and I had to do those head-spinning slow exercises for about a month before the symptom subsided. Hang in there! It will go away.
I extend my condolences to those who have experienced a loss. Life is a tragedy - if it doesn't happen to you, it will be someone you love.
Dogs. I got a puppy in November and she's been a bright spot in our gloomy winter. My older dog is the police keeping her at bay when she doesn't behave. Other times, they have explosive bouts of playfulness, other times they are conked out from exhaustion. I hope they learn to hunt as a small pack.
Temperatures - we have it around both sides of the freezing point, at all times. I fear for my old hip bones as under any newfallen snow there is bound to be a glasslike molten surface of ice.
Okay. Carry on, I will pop in now and again. Greetings from Finland!
