I almost jumped in on that thread when I read some of the inane and self-righteous comments about people losing their jobs, but thankfully common sense prevailed and I stayed out of it. I have no opinion on Carvin either way, but I too feel for any employees who got the short end of the stick. Been there, done that. It sucks.

If that guy's attempt at writing a book was anything like his posts, it's no wonder he's bitter.

I was behind you 100% @BadExample . The guy is a phony and a tool. I get so sick of him and his long self-edifying posts where he's such an authority of everything. Well, he showed his true colors today. A J@ck@ss! And it seems a bunch of the young snowflakes (who've probably never really worked) sided with him. It's so disgusting how the youth are such brainless sheep nowadays.... But good on you Mr. Bad for standing your ground. :thumbsup:

AMEN!!! And I saw the "likes" from you and other GOFs... and was sooo appreciated! Sick minds. And they stood to their claim that they were happy to see the carvin workers loose their jobs. Sick, disgusting and a perversion of the standards of civilization.

As somebody who has been in the situation of losing a job several ones in my career, and seeing fellow employees suffer the same, due to events totally outside our control, I have compassion for those in this position.

Looking for work gets more challenging as we get older, especially in the technology sector. I remember hearing stories about how the aerospace industry wound down and spit out thousands of engineers, many of whom never found work as an engineer again.
