Sad to hear that Paul. It seems we're all getting that kind of news a little more frequently these days. It's definitely a reminder to value and enjoy every day we're given.

It is not my intention to add to the bad news, but a great musician I played with in the 70's passed away on Friday from brain cancer.

Ron was a trumpet player, keyboard player, and singer. Before I met him, I loved jazz. Ron taught me that the world of jazz was far wider than I realized and made me a better bass player because of his love for jazz and his desire to help others.

Ron's father was Assistant Concert Master of a major symphony orchestra and helped us with charts.

Ron was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He knew more about music and felt it coursing through his veins more than anyone else I ever played with.

Ron, we will miss you forever.
