See I would have imagined that in that situation you'd have acted a little indignant, clearly articulated that you didn't have to put up with that type of inappropriate behavior in the workplace, and then told them they had exactly 20 minutes to stop doing it.

I guess it just goes to show that even people you know well can surprise you!

I think it's all in the timing/cadence of the delivery. "No!...Don't!...Stop!" is an entirely different message than "No, don't stop!". I think you've got the right words, it's the delivery you need to work on...or maybe not...

Were you in when we had to do that whole "Red Light, Yellow Light, Green Light" thing? I think it was sometime after Tailhook got out of control in 91. FWIW, I think some people absolutely deserved the disciplinary actions they got, but a I also knew a few good folks who had careers ruined simply because they were in the same town that night but had absolutely nothing to do with the incident and no knowledge that it even occurred.

I know nothing about horses, but there wasn't a thing in that video that appeared to be something a horse would naturally choose or want to do. I can't even begin to imagine how much training time and the level of confidence a trainer would need to build with an animal to get that result. That's beyond impressive!

To wit: Big Spring Tx has a refinery servicing a part of west Tx. 35 miles west, in Midland, gas is 3.07 whereas 35 miles east, in Colorado City, gas is 2.89...for the exact same gas, delivered by the exact same trucks...taking the exact same amount of time to get there, etc.

Electricity is all ‘owned’ by Oncor here, each distribution company buying their part for sales to end users...but it all comes over the same lines, thru the same sub stations, etc etc etc owned by Oncor. Any price differences are basically different rats allowing different pieces of cheese to fall

Oncor also owns the natural gas in the part of world.

The electrical service price variation is a little odd since I would assume regulated utilities (i.e. legally chartered monopolies) would display some level of price consistency across a service area. As for the gas price variation, I can see big differences when it's the effect of things like gas taxes differing widely across regions.

I live in the Washington DC metropolitan area and I think Northern Virginia adds in a pollution tax and a Metro Rail subsidy tax and lord knows what else. I can drive 15 miles and the gas prices at stations further from the tank farms have prices which are often 20 to 30 cents a gallon cheaper.
