Coincidentally, and to the surprise of more than a few people, I've always lived somewhere in the world.

It’s common that more and more jobs today allow you to telecommute. You work from home, web conferences are common. You pray that your internet doesn’t go down.

The negative side is that you tend to spend more hours working. With team members residing anywhere in the world, scheduling meetings takes additional co-ordination. Meetings can start very early in the day, on the east coast, a meeting with someone in Japan might start at 8PM. What’s Monday here can be Tuesday for others.


Life certainly ain’t like it used to be.

My job has frequently been a little odd with the hours, especially when working with operational forces and/or foreign military sales customers. While there are usually core hours for routine business, when you support a 24/7/365 operation you just have to roll with the punches. All the connectivity options we have today though make things a lot easier to be able to work from wherever you are.

I don’t know why everyone can’t be on daylight savings time all year round.

Some areas have come to their senses. In Florida, old people couldn’t cope with falling back and springing forward. It was causing too many mental injuries. The govt. voted this spring to do away with it and remain on DST. Saskatchewan remains on DST. Indiana, part of Arizona, and Hawaii stay on standard time.

Indiana went back to DST years back. They let each county decide, which was a bad idea. Some counties near Chicago go with Central, most go with Eastern and I believe a few don't change.

That's why I moved us to Arizona....i can't figure out how to change those digital watches....and the buttons are too tiny!

It helps me to wake up when the sun comes up early. I can deal with it getting darker early in the evening.

Every year it seems to take longer to adjust to the time changes.

Hey GOF's. Here's my new toy from Amazon. It's a Randall RG8 guitar cab. I used it with my MB200 and was able to crank it up to 12:00 before wife Carey told me to turn down! LOL. Amazing little cab. I have an Eminence Alpha 8 I'm going to swap out with the OEM Randall because the Alpha 8 is designed for bass, but even with the stock speaker, this little guy really sounds great! If you're looking for something really small give this one a try.

I did try one other small guitar cab-- the Peavey 6505 with an 8" speaker. It was deeper in depth and sounded deeper and I tried to swap out the speaker with my Eminence but the lip on the Peavey OEM was less than 1/4"! The Eminence was just too big to fit in there, otherwise I would have kept that one. But this little guy really makes a lotta good noise for the size. Highly recommended for quiet home practice.

By the way the settings you see on the MB200 work real well with this cab and my bass. I have my bass guitar volume running halfway with T/M/B flat.

I had an old Peavey speaker in a Fender Vibro-Champ. It sounded very good. Don't underestimate Peavey.

Those Randall cabs keep showing up with good reviews. They are very affordable which doesn't hurt.
