Now hear this all GOF's! Roll Call! Report on all fingers, toes, thumbs extremities accounted for.
I'm going over to play with an old friend I've known for 20 years. He's really not the greatest guitarist but dang he has heart. He has to make a pass a few times but he works hard at it and gets it right. The drummer grew up on a fish hatchery then worked there for five years as an adult. So as a result he missed the whole 70's 80's hits. So guess who gets to teach him how to go boom crash boom crash on the bass drum and cymbal. Yours truly. But our 80's tribute is moving along albeit slowly--towards the Alaska Day festivities.
Tomorrow there's a Sitka Tribe picnic and as a tribal councilman I have to be there to host prizes for the tribal citizens. There's going to be all kinds of subsistence food there. You all would probably really enjoy it. Old fashioned home smoked salmon, salmonberry and blueberry jam, fried bread, fried bread tacos, hamburgers, hot dogs, and contests, then the elementary kids are going to do traditional dances. Oh I almost forgot. I'm a judge in a pie contest!
What say ye, GOF's? What'cha got going this weekend?
