I've always thought of the UK, Canada, and the US as good friends who often seem impaired/frustrated by what sounds to the rest of the world like a common language.

I wish I remembered what the sentence was, but once I heard an American and an Englishman say the exact same thing, meaning the diametrically opposite.

Sounds like we're all separated by a common language!

I agree with you on the Scouse Lass, Paul although I have to say, being asked what time do you want to be "knocked up in the morning" left me somewhat speechless...

When she got to the US in the early 80's, her boss sent her to pick up a sandwich. The shop owner asked her it she wanted "sprouts on it"? She couldn't quite fathom putting brussel sprouts on a sandwich...

To her defense, when I first came here in the early '80's from Canada, I went shopping at a local supermarket. At the checkout counter, I was asked if I would like my purchases in a "sack". I politely said no...a bag would be fine.

Prior to that, one of the first times I went to a US McDonalds, I asked for vinegar for my fries...I was viewed as being from outer space...I was expecting "white vinegar or malt"! Fun Times...
2(or 3) nations separated by a 'common' language.
OOPS! Typed this b4 reading other similar replies.:sorry:

I thought that Texas is a law and order place to live. Especially with so many with sidearms.

I guess that this only happens in the movies. But if it did happen, I imagine that it would be in Texas.

In a fashion, yes. But hospitals among other places are considered 'Gun Free'.

And face it - in a pro hit, the perps normally don't pay much attention to the 'no firearms past this point' signs

Looking at the manual again, I see it looks a lot newer than the lovely iVAC. So I guess Andy had his hans in this one :D

The outputs available are 200 W 8 ohm bridged or two channels @100 W 4 ohm. Lately it occurred to me what a long... I mean I can play a single 4 ohm out and get output saturation at a lower volume... nice.

Wasn’t he the oldest?

Ringo is older, he turned 78 in July.
McCartney was 76 in June.
Pete Best, a man who always demonstrated a lot of class, will be 77 in November.

Ginger Baker is 79.
Eric Clapton is 73.
Jack Bruce is 71.

Jimmy Page soon to be 75.
Keith Richards going on to 75.
Charlie Watts 77.
Mick Jagger, 75.
Bill Wyman 81.

The thing about getting old is that you can still rock.

True bro bad. But he had the last laugh. He’s got the Ringo Starr All Star Band and they’re still touring. :)
I think he also was more of a Star/Starr backstage with his comical antics. Maybe the BeatlesBadExample.

Are you still slated to be back for roll call?

I was going to do last weeks for you, but you gotter done.

Got all your credentials now, or should I mail you mine? They never look at them as long as it has a blue cover, you're in.

Beer and ML2 + pedals night... gotta go!
