The tone of modern day life is more irritating.

I feel better after watching an hour of test pattern, just like the 70's.
You’re supposed to fall asleep and when someone shuts the TV off you wake up and say “I was watching that”.
I used to get up and watch the indian before school. We only had two channels.

Now when they go off the air, they go to infomercials. I'd rather watch the test patterns.

It is the Thanksgiving weekend. Sadly the weather is nothing to give thanks for. It’s rainy, cold and dreary for the entire weekend. By mid week the temperature will be in the twenties Centigrade! Typical!!

This evening we’re going to a restaurant named the Blackhorn for just that reason!!
With just the two of us here now it’s not reasonable to cook a whole Turkey. We’ll do the same at Christmas time.

Just had a nice chat with @alaskaleftybass . His wife is still recovering. I imagine being away from home is getting old. We should keep them in our thoughts and prayers for a fast recovery.

But wait, my Canadian friend...My wife and I are only two. Fortunately for me, she is an excellent cook and from England. Accordingly, we have roast turkey (small) with real gravy, real stuffing (with sausage), cranberry sauce, cauliflower, roast and mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. They freeze well for dinners, sandwiches and the leftover turkey for turkey soup. We do this for Canadian and American Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter and enjoy it throughout the year. I do, however, have to admit that we have never been to Blackhorn! What are we missing?
