Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Roll Call! Front and center all GOF's. Report on all toes fingers and appendages accounted for. What are you up to this weekend? I've been hanging out in the hospital eating hospital food LOL. Call me weird but it's almost starting to taste good...???? That's a scary thought.

When we get home Carey can't wait to be in her own bed. When she came out of her delerium she asked for a dog and I said ANYTHING YOU WANT MY LOVE. So I guess we're on the hunt for a new dog for wife Carey. I left our place in shambles and a local church came in and cleaned it for us? Who says miracles don't happen???

So what say ye, GOF's? What is everyone up to? I'm sorry but I'm too grumpy to all you GOF's to reference you. But you know who you are! LOL.

Great news brother Will!

Here! At work and cant count my toes.

What happened with the hospital food is actually quite common. Half your taste buds commited suicide and the other half went insane. Bad news is it can't be cured or reversed and you will only like hospital food. Good news is you can save a fortune on food now by buying everything in gallon cans and eating out is relatively cheap at a hospital cafereria!

Your inspiring comments put a smile on my face. The thought of getting a dog can help with the recovery.

Many hospitals have therapy dogs that can drop by for a visit. Nothing like experiencing that love.

And by the way, all dogs like pupcakes.

Bro @BassmanPaul welcome back! You and I stay out of trouble ok? LOL Tall order!

i’ve been around Will, but all the excitement and enjoyment of logging in has departed. I’m spending my spare time reading through the books written by Anne McCaffrey. Found a couple on the 'bay that I hadn’t known of so I picked them up. :)

When I do pickup my laptop I tend to kick off Spider Solitaire rather than Talk Bass. I still feel we were treated abominably and it rankles!

I am most certainly happy that your Carey is on the mend and a new dog is always a welcome addition to the family. :D

I miss all of our girls and one boy terribly. Their lives were so short but they all brought so much love and joy. Their pictures decorate the walls of our elevator so we see them constantly. :)

Sorry bro @BassmanPaul but you can’t leave! LOL Good to see your grumpy avatar and pleas don’t be a stranger!

All fingers, toes and thumbs accounted for. This being Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, I want to pass on a special thanks to all my friends and family in Canada, eh!

This weekend, the one thing I am missing is my 97 year young mother who passed away a few weeks ago. But, I am thankful for the example she set for me, my family and the friends who knew her. Our lives are better for it.

Glad to hear that the wife is on the mend. I've been playing around with a new oscillating multi-tool gizmo to cut out some bad window trim around the house. So far, all appendages are intact. Trying to get these outdoor projects done before the bad weather starts in. Queen Snorkleface doesn't like when I get up on ladders now that the COPD thing has me broke down a lot. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes.

I actually posed as a Therapy Dog once. Got away with it for a while. Then I heard the nurses talking and one said, "Notice how picky he is about which lap he gets on?" and another said, "He sure looks too big to still be nursing." So, I humped their legs and ran out so they wouldn't find out think I'm some kind of perv.I

I wouldn’t want to have to sniff the other therapy dogs butts.
