Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Will here with a status update. Carey was doing very well and today she kind of went what the medical pros called 'wonky.' She was a little disorientated. Turns out she had two cysts on her colon and they were leaking poisonous pus into her bloodstream. Tomorrow morning she is getting a microscopic sized instrument inserted in her stomach and they will pierce the cysts and suck out the pus. Then they'll have to attach a tube or two for draining. When she gets home I have to get a home caregiver sponsored by a local charity. She will be weak for a couple weeks but they predict a full recovery and we have to change our diet to more veggies and less red meat, more salmon. Less pizzas! LOL.

Thank you for the prayers and notes of comfort to me. I'm gonna say I love all you grizzly old farts. You are my crew-- the guys that I relate to. I may have never achieved the same status but we have common memories, and any group consisting of veterans or otherwise, and who talk about farts is good for me!

If it's not too politically correct I'm still accepting prayers, you can never have too many of those. Thank you all for being there for us.

One last thing: I'm glad to see we didn't let anyone stop our little group! We're too grumpy and need somewhere to go. Who else would have us??? LOL Thanks everyone for keeping the flame.

Glad you're getting that worked out.

How DID they figure it out?

Colonoscopy is your friend!

I do call Carey Mrs. Bear!

It's nice to have some comfort when it's cold outside. All the best to Mrs. Bear for a speedy recovery. +

Glad to hear the good news, ALB! Prayers shall continue for you both.

I just noticed GOF is now under Miscellanous...fine, but why the change? Yes, I’m too lazy to read back thru 30 pages.

It is not worth stirring the Hornets nest as to the why of it. It was a Mods decision and we are all coping with it no matter how we feel. If you want more info PM me or one of the more "senior" GOF's.
Thanks

Update on Bro. Will's wife Carrie:

She had the procedure and it went well. It sounds like they can go home in a few days, but probably not before the weekend as they had hoped. We talked on the phone for a while and he sounded upbeat. I'm guessing he was relieved to have the procedure done. Nothing is worse than waiting for a loved one while they are in surgery.

God Bless @alaskaleftybass and his wife Carrie!

Amen to that!

Thanks, but it’s not that big a deal. If it was simple, sure, but there’s enough cloak and dagger intrigue in real life to keep me occupied.

It’s here, the sun still rises, and disco still sucks...so all is well

Having a wife who hates her name being shortened or otherwise messed, with Will’s good lady is named Carey! :D
Bro @BassmanPaul welcome back! You and I stay out of trouble ok? LOL Tall order!

I've been in touch with bro @BadExample and asking him to update GOF's. This is the first time today I've been able to pull out the computer and Carey is much better today.

Thanks to many prayers and well wishes for us. Many thanks for bro @BadExample for talking on the phone with me when I was so upset and needed calming down.

Carey is on the mend but we have to make sure she's totally infection free before we leave as she's wearing an infection sack that needs to be removed probably Monday or Tuesday.

Special thanks to a Guardian Angel who gave very special help and was an answer to prayers. I love all my GOF brothers, whiskers, grumpiness, and all!

Will
