Well... onto the Guinness now![]()
It seems like a nice pedal to me. I didn't expect it to have a huge WOW factor, something more subtle. Switching the vibe switch on changes it a bit, but that aspect is not very exciting. If I listed to it vibe off, walked around the block then tried vibe on, I don't think I could tell the difference. It's a keeper, especially for half the street price and I'm pretty sure it's almost new. I think they came out right after '18 NAMM.
What was interesting, I drug out a WH Pork Loin (mild overdrive) and adjusting the volume to unity did almost nothing to the tone with my Streamliner. Then I turned the volume knob in the gain section of the SL all the way down, the volume of the WHPL all the way up, and WOW factor. The WHPL has a "British clean preamp" that you can blend with the overdriven channel. Even turning it to the full clean so the WHPL is acting as a boost with a bit of tone change, hitting the SL preamp sounds really nice. I was already using the SL with the gain cranked and adjusting the volume and master to keep it more quiet, doing that again, hitting it hard sounded even nicer. Andy told me I could hit the SL input pretty hard. I like it.
Next up, WH Russian Pickle with vibe...
Well, I've got this twanger friend and he just spent like 3 grand on the Eric Johnson strat and a custom pbass. So, he doesn't want to spend any money on actual woofers. In his mind, "amps" are combo's that you plug into... He's using the pbass through his guitar amp! Jeeze! I wish you guys would back me up that that's not a good idea. I don't wanna hear him whine after he blows his guitar amp speakers.Gents;
At 557 pages, I read backwards 10 or so, and found nothing to do with amps.
A lot of pleasant banter, to be sure, and we do in fact encourage that.
And, there are places for that.
This was a group decision made after group discussion.
I don’t see anyone outright deriding this move in a fashion that’s problematic, but there are guidelines for how to interact with the mod staff.
New sensor is now selling high resistance 9V batteries. I wonder if they run hotter.
