Aion Electronics - DIY Guitar Pedal PCBs for classic circuits has some nice DIY pedals. I’ve build several. What’s nice is that some pedal boards allow you to brew up different options, based on popular mods.

I don’t drink a lot do but have the occasional draft because my dog liked it. He didn’t just like beer, he loved it. He lived to be over twenty one years of age and was my best friend.

Some cars have bonnet mascots on their hoods. I see boats in the port with one, sometimes two. No reason why your lawn mower can’t have one.

A friend used to have a 650cc Triumph Bonneville motorcycle. For some reason, girls used to love going for a ride on the back of that bike. They liked it so much that sometimes they’d ask him to go around the block a second time.

Old Triumph engines chug along, they have a unique sound.

A prof at my university got a sweet deal on a newer model from a widow, maybe ten years old now. What a beautiful bike. He didn't rip her off, but still got a like new maybe 5 year old for a good price. I don't think he's had any trouble with it. And it sounds beautiful.

Phills price about half of US price. Reliability used to suck, I dunno now, doesn't really matter there. Moto mechanic on every street corner in PI.

Royal Enfield is another classic British bike. It would be great to own one.

The new ones look like they are based on the heritage of the old ones. Something special about those designs. There was always a battle as to which, Triumph or Royal Enfield, was best.

Both makes had a baked in vibration. Seems that there is a solution.

In the earlier reintroduction, they were all based on WW2 RE designs, Those are what I'm interested in. They had a really cool off-road model, but that seems gone. Not off-road like dirt biking, but a more rugged suspension and aggressive tires. Like one with a side car maybe. Very cool stuff!

I’ve seen Barney Kessel’s from the mid 60’s selling for $5KUS. Nice sounding instrument. There were other signature models with different companies such as Kay.

Gibson also offered the Trini Lopez model which was popular. They took a beautiful 335, added a Fender stratocaster style headstock, had diamond f-holes, diamond inlays, and added a Trini Lopez logo to the trapeze tailpiece, much like Barney had.

Gibson offered the model for many years so it must have done well. I liked Trini in The Dirty Dozen but not so much this guitar.

Interesting. I always associated Trini Lopez with the hollowbody Gibson with the Florentine cutaways, similar to the guitar in BE's vid link.

Thursday I played a nice very well attended outdoor open mike and confounded everyone with a straight blues set with a pickup band of old friends I rarely get to play with these days. With a classic bass for that, of course (not):

And since I was on a roll I then took it to the Friday night bluegrass jam. Oddly enough, it was a huge hit, go figure...

The ES-335DG is nice in blue.

I hope that Trini got some of the action when Grohl agreed to the Gibson reissue. It wouldn’t be nice for a rich guy to ripoff an old guy.
