A pic from last night's American Legion gig: (no lights on band 'area'-1 guitarist out of pic)

We're working on being able to access lyrics on the job. It does no good to get the words online after the gig.:(

I use an iPad Air 2, with software called SongSheet Pro. Internally have about 150 lyric/lead chord charts. This iPad is cellular capable, so when enough dead Presidents start asking for a tune, and we know the basic gist, I’ll search for lyrics (which usually have some chord progressions as well) and there ya go...

Yes, you can get iPad and phone stands that clamp onto a mic stand.
What he said...iPad clamp mounts to mic stand, rather covertly...

Turning all the iPad stuff to just wi-fI, a fully charged battery lasts an entire evening. Even so I’ll run it on a charger between sets, just because I’m paranoid that way.

Note that this app imports PDF...so on tunes completely new that someone has Nashville charted, I can just import the chart, name it, organize in order in sets...you can also turn pages with an optional Bluetooth footswitch.
