I've been horizontal and non-functional for the past 5 months! I'm ready to be up and at 'em!! Getting stronger ev'ry day. But beginning to think of an ultralight combo for extended convalescent duty. Can you spell VX50BA?

I was sacked out when the thread woke up. Got up a bit early to take Tator Salad to the vet for an allergy shot. She's itchy all over.

I have two Gibson guitars, a Les Paul and an ES-347, both from a different era, both with thick finishes. I wonder what Gibson was thinking at the time, sometimes they do boneheaded things.

I’ve often thought of thinning down the finishes on both but conclude that it’s more work than it’s worth. Plus it’s good to have something else to grump about.

Late one night, I started stripping a Cort headless bass and wound up taking it all the way down to the wood then oiling it. It’s been that way, with no ill effects, for over 30 years but I prefer a nitro finish.

Do you have one of those chips under Tator Salad’s skin? I’m wondering if you can feel them once installed.

There was a not for profit mobile clinic with vets doing neutering in the area last weekend. For $120 the mean man neuters, gives a set of shots, and inserts an under the skin ID tag.

What I objected to is that the price for a cat was only $90. I guess that they do a volume job on cats. They said that they did 18 dogs and 55 cats over two days.

I wonder if the military inserts chips in soldiers. Would be good for scanning who can gain access to restricted areas.

Not sure on the chips in Service Personnel, although I imagine it's done on certain occasions, but our DoD ID cards have been encoded with all types of bio-metric data for years. I'm specifically referring to CACs not the older ID's we used to carry.

A modern day dog tag? You’d think that they would have chips on them.

I’ve heard of companies having embedded chips in employees. Never knew if this was true or a proposal.

My car won’t start or the doors unlock unless I have a dongle in my pocket.

My last two German Shepherds have been chipped and there is absolutely no noticeable impact on the dog. I think it's a great idea and has probably reunited more dogs and owners than plain collars with owner info tags.

Fair, albeit disturbing question! Although with all the background investigations (every 5 years) I imagine the government knows more about me than I do about myself. My guess is that they can better predict where I'll be and what I'll be doing on any given day better than I could at this point - and there are still a lot of places I can't go and many where I can't go without telling them ahead of time and then checking-in afterwards . Add in a cell phone to equation and all the surveillance cameras you get caught on everyday, and I can't imagine how anyone ever truly gets lost from a government oversight perspective.
