Glad the gig went well, yes The Shuttle was one of my products. It was the product that most folks said wouldn't and couldn't possibly work. I was surprised at the negativing of the naysayers, especially from other manufacturers who were quite disrespectful based on one other product that used this module is just about the worst way possible. Fortunately, Jeff, Scott and I saw all the potential in this module and by understanding how this part worked and WHY the other manufacturer was having such problems, our application was a no-brainer.

That amp had the longest unchanged production life of any of our class D amps, probably close to 10 years, in spite of it's admittedly high price. It's also FULLY supported through our "factory" service program, every part is in stock.

Thanks for making the Shuttle 3.0. what a nice amp, really sounded great, even with the 1936 Tutmarc, Although I used the 51 pbass mostly because it is easier to play.......looking for a used one with the 10 inch cab now........about that bandsaw I wanted it also but Bud Tutmarcs sister got over to the house first and threw it out before Greg and Doug saved the rest of the basement....

Given his size, so that's a full sized bandsaw then! :laugh:

He looks like he had large hands, to go with his size. I wonder if he played. The instruments look like they would have been difficult for him to play at that scale.

If you restring and tune it, or maybe even wit the very old strings, you want to bring those up a little at a time and let them stretch. Maybe not as critical as a piano, but strings for high notes will just break and hurt you if you try to pull them up into tune in one day. My dad used to stop back a couple times a week for a couple weeks to pull them tight. For those shorter strings, I think a short 3/8" or even a 1/4" drive breaker bar with a, 8 pt 1/4" square socket would be as good as a real tuning hammer (as they call them). I guess the first piano tuner got his eye put out and wacked the piano or his son with the wrench, so they called it a hammer. :D Not...

I'm lucky that Bud left the tuning his father used for all 5 guitar set ups.....There are 5 very crude pickups with horseshoe magnets and dual coils for humbucking using number 32 wire.......each pickup was 20 ohms dc resistance, not 20k, 20 ohms and they were all paralleled for a total output of 4 ohms.......I have all that working now.....the 30 string nut is missing, so I got some ebony to shape and slot for 30 strings.....I thought I'd string up one set first and see if I can make it work......I also converted the radio to an amp with a matching transformer input.......this is going to be unbelievable when its done..

Not exactly high tech but very cool. I can actually figure out something like that-I think.:help:

A band in 1965 with a girl drummer. Her name was Honey, the band was the Honeycombs.



Then there was Moe Tucker in the Velvet Underground.



Many others followed. We had a female drummer with a Lugwig set in 1970. I always like those drums. Another drummer in the 60's had a double Ludwig set with a silver snare. He left them in my basement for months. Boy did they ever sound good. For some reason, his parents didn't like him keeping his drums at home.

I played with a band?? out of Kewanee, IL, in 72. We played opposite a local(much better)band in Mineral Point, WI. Their drummer was a girl named Sherry who was not only an outstanding player but also incredibly gorgeous. Her boyfriend would rather go fishing:confused:. I shoulda brought her home to Miami.:banghead:

Since I have to work (at least for a little while) tomorrow , our Christmas eve dinner has been moved up a day. On the menu is lobster stuffed with crab imperial , asparagus with hollandaise sauce and a baked potato. This tradition started 29 years ago when we lived close to the D,C. wharf. It's a bit harder now that we have to hunt pretty hard for fresh seafood but somehow we always manage. Seahag (my lovely wife) knocks this dinner out of the ballpark every year and family and friends love the invite. This will be the first year that none of my rotten kids will be here though. Gatorbait (my son) is with his girlfriends family in Iowa , Bearbait (daughter) is with her boyfriends family in Pa. and my other two daughters (Jailbait and Ding Dong , the blond) both live in Texas and can't make it. Seahags friend from childhood will be here as will two family friends that we have known for several years so it should be a great time. Oh yeah , wine. Did I mention the several bottles of wine that accompany the dinner?:woot:
At any rate , Merry Christmas , Happy Holidays and whatever PC greetings to all my fellow grumps and everybody else here on T.B.



Hmm , after all that wine , I'm going to have to strive to remember hot on the left , cold on the right and poop runs downhill tomorrow. 'Course it will probably end up more like hot in the middle , cold somewhere else and poop flies. They really shouldn't have scheduled me to work tomorrow.;)
