There are a couple of colonies within about 3 miles near where I used to go(notice I'm being vague). I'd put some peanuts-or other nuts-on a post, back up 3-4 feet and watch them come and get 'em. Almost tame.

That's where "mine" are at too, basically.
The colonies around here are in "prime" real estate although at least one area is a designated preserve-maybe 2. There's still some "wild" FL left near population centers and beaches. As their name implies, they like scrub areas with low palms and scrub pines.
Most likely a cockatoo, Moluccan or umbrella. Nobody had to teach the bird that...they are hatched desperate for attention and gifted with a huge voice. Here's an umbrella.

I don't know if anyone had to teach the bird to do that. I recall one in a bird store in Napa, years ago, that did the same thing...unless, of course, it was the same bird
.I had a conure once that loved grapes. I held a grape in front of him and had it follow it up a ladder, along a foot long perch with a bell at the end. Then I would ring the bell with my finger and give him the grape. Did this a few times and as soon as he saw me with a grape, he would do this himself and I would give him his treat.

Birds are smart.
It’s good to have an environment that intellectually challenges them. Nice when the cage is large enough to give them some space to move around in.
There’s a house that I pass. There’s a big cat that spends a lot of time in the window. It loves to observe the world passing by. In a way, the cat’s in a cage like a bird. The view outside provides some stimulation. In the summer, the same cat spends the day perched on a tree stump, watching all the activity in the lane.
My grandfather lived in an apartment next to the local YMCA and he had a Myna Bird in a cage that sat in the window of his upstairs apartment. That bird could cuss like a truck driver.
Of course not...they had to attend school and become a trucker!I do not believe they are born with that "gift".
Good news. I think the other driver was minimizing a bit, they took my story, called him back, and his insurance is covering it as they should.
I'll be in haggling mode. Next step is to make sure our laws are still as I understand them.

My ride is reliced, in a natural way. '97 Ram 4x4, 235,000 miles, rust, dents, failing parts...hmmm. Wonder if I can list it as "vintage" and sell it above original price?
