Aww Man! No mashed potato art work!?
That goes back to a "normal" dinner at our house when my then teenage daughter made a fairly good replica of Devil's Tower with mashed potatoes (her homage to Close Encounters), but went further to add a tribe of sliced carrots gathered in front of it, standing in awe. I think I've mentioned before that she takes after me.
We used to entertain ourselves as I drove her to high school by making up things like subversive Barbi dolls, or my favorite, questions to ask IT job applicants whom you don't want to come back. Questions like:
Are you allergic to bee stings? Lots of bee stings?
Do you have any underwater demolition experience?
Have you ever been tased? Would you like to be?
On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your pain threshold?
What's the highest altitude that you've jumped from an airplane?
Have you been inoculated for rabies?
How long can you hold your breath while hanging upside down?
How high can you go without oxygen before you lose consciousness?
Have you ever handled large, venomous snakes?
We came up with several pages of questions. After high school she went on to college on a full merit scholarship.
Go figure...
BTW, she plays bass too.
