I find that they seem to know and pose. They hear the click and walk away. Or in Charlie's case fly away.

All the squirrels in the neighborhood come running when they see me because I carry a bag of peanuts for them.

On the subject of P-Bass pickups, I truly know nothing. Beyond that, passive basses are just really not my thing at all. But of course both those things are extremely popular (and for good reason!) and I'm sure you'll get plenty of informed opinions.

Posted my $0.02 in your thread. I've messed around with a lot of p pickups and wiring.

My '85 Firebird got popped a few years ago. Damage estimates came to around $1500. The girl that hit its insurance company called me about a week later. They told me that due to the age of the car , they could give me $500 and take the car. I politely told them that the car was registered as Historic and that they WOULD fix it. I gave them a choice of sending me a check for the total repair costs or me suing them for total repair costs , a rental car while it was being repaired and all related attorneys fees. I received a check for $1900 about a week later. Thank goodness Maryland isn't a no fault state. It had zero effect on MY insurance. If you have an old car , register it as historic or antique. In most cases , if registered as such , they have to be fixed.
