Santa could never be a grump when he's hepped up on so much coke.

Happy happy all youse GOFs!

Our main gathering was today and I made it through without any charges being filed. My son and I have been ensnared in an escalating "difficult to find and/or open" gift exchange over the past few Christmases. I won last years's with this gift card holder:

However, he won this year with a custom bottle holder:

I'm pleased to report that the bottle has been liberated and is intact, and contains some might tasty rum.

I'm already working on ideas for next year.

All hail the flying fat man in the red cloak! We had a little get together for Christmas Eve. Sister gave me $25 Amazon gift card. I found a couple of music related things, but can't seem to figure out how to finish the order.:banghead:
Mom made her killer lasagna for dinner. Most of my last minute shopping gifts were appreciated. I HATE shopping for anything but bass gear and food, but I didn't totally screw it up. For Christmas dinner, I'm doing something different: lamb leg steaks. Got 'em marinating in olive oil, lemon, garlic and other Italian spices. Steaks are cut away from the leg bone; 5 minutes a side on the grill. Never cooked it before, but high hopes.
here's hoping for all the grumps to turn their frowns around this holiday season and peace in the the middle East and all that,
fnord!
love is action not a symbol represented by a word
Albert gets it:

Good morning and Merry Christmas GOFs! Last night our son arrived bearing a newly minted jar of raw oysters. We promptly fried up a basket and feasted accordingly. Thems was gooood.
Unfortunately, Queen Snorkleface awoke today with a severe case of congestion and a cough. This has been brewing for a couple of days now. Hopefully, the hot shower, Mucinix, and Advil will carry her through, though I doubt she'll be able to go to our planned family gtg at her sister's. She's back in bed and sleeping soundly.....
I sincerely wish all of you a happy, healthy Christmas.
Safe travels,
Chris

last night, Christmas Eve we went over the street to dave and Rose’s house for their Christmas eve bash. I’m sitting there minding my own business when something under the right side of my chin decides to swell up and be hurtful. We came home early and I applied an ice pack to the area. That seemed to sooth it and some of the swelling went down. There was still a nodule I could feel that was painful as I went to bed. This morning it had flared up again. Having spent the last hour trying to find a Walk In Clinic that was open I came to the conclusion I’d have to wait until tomorrow. Bah Humbug!!!!

Brilliant; I will borrow this idea for next year; have a link to the card holder?
To all my old geaser friends; thanks for all the tech advice and support this year.
Here's to a great 2019!

Sorry to hear that BMP! Hope you get comfortable for today and get some relief from the cause tomorrow! I'll be a little grumpy on your behalf!

I know this sounds ridiculous, but it might be an infected or blocked salivary gland. Years ago the same thing happened to a friend and we could actually see the swelling occurring - it was like those films where they speed up the action so you can watch a flower bloom in 30 seconds. As I recall it was easily resolved without any kind of surgical intervention. Best wishes for a quick resolution Paul!

Count Your blessings.
It could be hemorrhoids.

I think I'd rather have a toothache than hemorrhoids. Feels like you're trying to poop a cactus. Don't ask me how I know

:rollno:

( hoping everyone has already ate before they read this ...... and if you haven't, tough stuff... what are you doing hanging out with a bunch of grumpy old farts on Christmas anyhow ?)

:smug:

Bass rounds out this performance nicely.

There are very few bass players I know who could have pulled that off so tastefully. This to me is that realm where music moves from playing/covering songs to unique artistic expression.
