IMO Badass trumps clean

Very surprised to find the so called bumper behind the plastic is only frame width, very thin metal. Made of peanut butter. My CJ-3B had thicker metal on the body. My J-10 had a sub-frame under the cab that was tack welded to the floor boards uni-body style that is thicker than the frame on these things. This is all in the name of collapsible body safety. I'm all for that so long as it's someone else's body collapsing! Working to rectify the situation, front and rear. Looks like I'm on my own for the rear end though.

I have been meaning to ask you what you decided on regarding a Dash Cam and Back-up Cam. I know you would have thoroughly investigate that.

I haven’t read that book. There are a lot of terrible things that went on. One of them was the “Indian residential schools” in Canada. This went on from 1870 to the 1990’s which is shameful.

Kids were taken from their families, siblings broken up. Indian, Inuit, and Metis children were placed in these schools. There are stories of brothers and sisters taking a lifetime to reunite. Some kids were adopted out. Some did well but there are many stories of kids that never fit in, wound up on drugs, alcoholism, prostitution, and mental institutions. Many northern reserves have these problems as well. The band councils are doing their best to deal with it. Some areas outright ban drugs and alcohol.

Horrible circumstances. Residential schools are something that should never should have happened. Now governments are on an apolgy tour but it’s too late to make things right.

My great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee. At the time that she and my great grandfather married in what became Oklahoma, she had to be listed as "colored" for legal reasons we still don't understand.

I've seen steel channel used front and rear. Not pretty but effective.

Actually you see this a lot in Alaska. Many trucks use steel bars especially when vehicles get stuck in the snow.

Hey bro @BadExample one nice thing about armorizing your vehicle is you can park WHEREVER YOU WANT at Walmart!

Only for use on those who insist on pulling out in front of me. Already had to evade an accident Saturday, mid blizzard, roads obviously covered in snow and slick. There were three cars already stopped in her lane, yet as I gingerly pulled out looking both ways, I see the IDIOT sliding and steering into the left lane in attempt to violate the very laws of physics. Two vehicles cannot occupy the same space at the same time in the same dimension!

Started with the cheapest Amazon prime, like $50 or 60. Junk. Camera was fine, but couldn't do much with or figure out the settings. Mount was like a real cam mount, but about 1/8" and plastic, couldn't get it tight enough to stay put. Suction cup wouldn't hold. Returned and got an Apeman for maybe $80. Works great, mounts great, has a perma mount option with double stick tape. Haven't tried the backup cam at all yet. Need to route the wires and the jeep has a backup obstetrical alert already for parking. @Al Kraft might remember RAWS. Comes on in reverse, dims the radio volume and chirps + LED's above the back window. Without that, I would have looked for one that uses the back cam when shifting to reverse. This one turns on the back if there is a rear impact, or you can set it to back, or do both, pic in pic style.

I had a 1/4" thick 6" tall C-channel bumper on my CJ-3B. Had a tow bar mount so I could flat tow it to the trais and ORV parks.

The UPS GPS delivery routing is supposed to be set up for mostly right turns only to avoid cutting across traffic. That would be a good idea to avoid trafic if you are driving all the way to the Philippines.

My dad worked for an independent aircraft instrument shop in Miami back when nothing was digital. He was recognized as an authority on pressurization systems and was offered a big $ position with Boeing. He liked it in Miami and passed on the offer becoming the highest ranking person in the shop that wasn't a relative of the owner.
