Stateside O Clubs have changed a lot since the 70's when I was first introduced to them. The rules on DUI have also tightened significantly and even one can cost you your command and probably your career these days. Decades ago drinking with the squadron at the club was almost a mandatory activity. I see most of today's pilots and air crew making much more healthy choices than years ago.Apparently golf has fallen out of favor. Clubs are closing because they can't attract sufficient numbers of younger members.
I think all sorts of clubs are going out of style. I remember our local animal club during the 80's was THE PLACE to be on weekends. Lots of beautiful young ladies, handsome men dressed nice, live music. Now mostly the daily alcoholics habitate the club, which by the way is big and beautiful and has a wonderful stage (best in town) and big dance floor. Last New Years Eve they closed at 10:00. I blame it on "social media." All the young people are sitting on their @sses at home playing "virtual reality games" rather than meeting out in clubs like we used to when we were young.Stateside O Clubs have changed a lot since the 70's when I was first introduced to them. The social network has clearly created antisocial millennials, sarcastic armchair critics, and trolls. Not like the days of yore when we all got together after work for a drink and some laughs and camaraderie.

If it's thin just call it authentic olde cuisine!March madness is upon us. Start your motors running. See the attached song.
There’s a rule, the last major snowstorm is on or about March 4th. Winter is all downhill now.
I made pizza dough last night for this evening. Forgot to put it in the fridge before I passed out for the night. We’ll see how it turns out later today. Hoping for more than thin and not stretchy crust.
It seems that the clocks change next weekend and we loose an hour. Something to look forward to.
