Ohhhh! Lemon prep! And a whole bunch of Ducolax .... this from one who completed two, that's right two colonoscopies in the summer of '18 because the first one didn't take. My body still shivers in revulsion at prep solution. (oh you're not supposed to use wine to chase the prep solution in the final hour)

I, for one, am not one to subscribe to the practice of visual confirmation of what I already know is going on. They give me discharge paperwork with photographs after my colonoscopy. The doctor shows me x-rays of my joints. Really, I am prepared to believe whatever they tell me they did or are going to do. Don't say that in front of my body, she's listening, I tell my doctor. Doctor tells me anyway. "You're getting old," she says, and this is strictly not necessary to hear ....

My last one, I asked about beer(clear, not red or blue). The look I got said "no".:( BTW, they allowed me to skip the lemon(?)prep in favor of Miralax in Gatorade. Not quite as vile.

Of course they say no because dehydration blah blah blah :: gulp :: go to bed slightly pickled and a lot worse for wear

My body absolutely shudders at holding that glass of prep solution. Fifteen minutes goes by really fast, time for another and another and last time they put me on a two day fast because the first time around was a fail. The worst of it (in my view) is I have to do it again in five years instead of the usual 10.

I was very disappointed by my last scope. I was promised good drugs and they failed to deliver...

And they get really weird if you bring your own!

(expect all noticed the video going around of three LEOs doing an intensive search for MJ in the hospital room of a stage 4 cancer patient who told staff she was taking THC caps for pain in place of the prescribed opioids.)

I told my quack there's no way I can finish that 'lemon' prep without it exiting in a way that wouldn't have the intended effect.

Prep solution. Vile, vile, vile.

About two weeks until the "anniversary" of my surgery. Which is neither here nor there apart from the surgeon expects to see me. The difference "then" and "now" is now I can make it to the office under my own power. Yay? Really not so convinced that every medical procedure is beneficial on the whole. I mean, I'm here and stuff, but what a price to pay.

"Yay?" Whoa! Dial it down, there, sista! Don't go all crazy!!

Ya know, that's why I don't go to fortune tellers. If I'd known when I was younger what all I was gonna go through, I'd have done something different and probably missed this golden time I've arrived at now!

Just got back from the procedure. Have to wait on biopsies.

Every 5 years? Very long story short - every 18 months for me.
