It's nice to have guessed right at least once! There were some jack plug effects as I mentioned in my post, but they were in the early 70's and this picture was clearly prior IMO. If you got it from a book where they had that picture there is no doubt. I was sure enough that it was an early wireless system that would have put money it though.Yes, it says in the book Standing In The Shadows Of Motown, p28, that it was a wireless system.
In the 60’s, I had a fuzz box that was plugged into the instrument jack. There was another jack that was used to connect to the amp. Not seeing another instrument cable tells you that it isn’t a fuzz box.
Interesting to note, the first effect was a DeArmond tremolo.
