Seems that Spot was played by six different felines. All trained by the same company.

BTW, a while back I mentioned wanting to indulge myself in a Rickenbacker 325C64 at some point in the future. I found a couple in stock online. Everyone seem to be charging $500 over the current US retail price list. Lead time if one is ordered is 2 years.

Go with a real, authorized dealer, such as POTR or CME, or look for a used one; most of the on-line "dealers" are just passing off sideways procured instruments, and the high prices are targeted at off-shore buyers.

The shop that gave me the 2 year lead time is an authorized Rickenbacker dealer. The online quotes were also from authorized Ric dealers, MF and GC. They claim that Ric does not allow them to publish the prices online, you have to click and supply your email to request them. They both had the same prices.

I experienced the same sort of delay when I bought my 381/12V69, from Sam Ash, also a dealer. It seems that Ric likes to do business this way for some instruments.

Used prices are through the roof, but I want to buy new. I wouldn't want to buy used unless I could inspect the instrument in person.

Those library records would be considered a security risk today. Providing both a signature and a record of what was read to bolster data mining.

Wages and retirement payouts are indexed to inflation if you are in the right union. There's a reason why they call it a minimum wage.

On the plus side, if it is a medication that is affected by coffee and you flush the pills down with something else, maybe you can lower the amount taken.

RIC builds instruments in cycles as the shop is fairly small, really. That is what creates the backlogs they have on certain models and colors (the ones that are are not in demand).

As to pricing, all dealers are required to post no less than MAP, but you can do FAR better with the smaller, independent dealers than with the BB stores (GC, MF, SA, etc.). Try Wildwood Guitars in Colorado, but still, there will/may be a wait on various models. All the new Ricks I have bought were through the small guys (The Music Connection/Mike Parks, POTR, Rhoads Music); I have yet to buy from Wildwood but everything I have read on them is superb.

For many years I've used a large spoon of plain, whole-milk Greek yogurt to swallow pills with. No liquid. Seems to help.
