Subliminal fan design. It looks like a four string bass fretboard with two frets. Any player would be attracted to it.
My son is coming in from Kansas City. Going up to my brother's place for a mid-day meal tommorrow. Probably try to catch some crappie while we're there. My son has expressed interest in fishing. I took him with me when we were younger, but he wasn't into it at the time. I'll be cooking some brats over charcoal at some point. We'll probably be putting fresh flowers on my dad's grave. He was a Master Sergeant (infantry) when in WWII. We learned that it was permissible to bury him on our land when he passed a few years ago, so I don't have very far to go to visit his grave (I visit him every time I mow the grass).

Oh yes, rather enjoy a good view.
And at home for the weekend [RetiredGOF] following a visit with my doctor. All vitals are on the mark. Even scratch a prescription from the list ThankYouThankYou :: curtsey :: Except there is bloodwork to be done (expected) and new visit to x-ray ordered (unexpected). Since I see the other doctor on Tuesday it means Wednesday is the earliest time to get to the hospital for x-rays. [/RetiredGOF]
Morning finds me at coffee at the farmers' market, where (hopefully) the coffee lady is back this year. There's a Greek lady there who makes breakfast crepes. Probably a couple more weeks remain for asparagus, and there's always the local cheeses.
(depending on individuals, one of those small houses may or may not be the sort of place for asparagus consumption, some cheeses or baked beans for breakfast)

Mmm... asparagus. I finally remembered to harvest some from the patch my dad planted years ago. It has a thicker than usual stalk and is the best I have ever put in my mouth.

Asparagus is just coming in locally. They always overcharge for the first couple of weeks.

They are not bad, provided you don't over cooked them! Then they are both stringy and mushy

There is a certain asparagus risotto that sometimes comes together in this kitchen. Free to GoFs, paired with wine, stout, porter, Rainier Ale (the Green Death), Sterno, Toilet Duck, however your tastes run

I steam most vegtables. Healthier than boiling. Hard or semi-hard boiled eggs work well steamed.
With asperagus, I find that the larger diameter stocks are more flavorable than the thin shoots. Wash well, some have sand in the tips. Break them short enough, steam untill soft, a bit of butter and lemon.
