@Downlowsince81 I've never seen a gibson bass amp. How does it sound?
I'm curious too. I'm a fan of guitar GoldTones but never have seen or played a Gibson bass amp in RL.
Thank you for the kind words on the Epiphone bass. The bass was played at my grandfathers church for 15 years with the Gibson bass amp, before he retired from ministry and music.
The Thor 210 was Gibson's elusive attempt to offer a fender bassman combo alternative. It is Solid State and says 100 watts (~50 watts RMS). Right below the rating you will see CMI (CHICAGO MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS - NORLIN!)The stock Jensen speakers project a Low and mid rumble that make it one of the loudest compact 70's combos I have ever played. Forget about tone shaping with the thor, & enjoy untamed low aggression.The Thor bass amplifiers from the years prior were tube, & they had a reputation of being speaker eaters.

Actually, no. CMI was the owner of the Gibson brand before the 1969 merger that created Norlin.
I don't believe that I've ever played a Thor. Would be very interested in hearing one someday.

If you haven't had the chance to check out a Phil Jones Bass amp yet, they're great! (not cheap, but great)
I just bought as 2007 Les Paul DC on reverb.com. it arrived from Australia in great physical condition, but with a short that I have in the local music shop to repair. I will post pictures when I get it back. When not spitting and sputtering, it demonstrated the deep rich tone I hoped for. The top wood was beautifully figured. The back, sides and neck are nice mahogany. Are any of you Gibby owners familiar with this model? I would love to hear a review. A mention of the functionality of the controls would be appreciated. I have been looking for a long neck Gibson for some time now, I love the "rootbeer" color.
From your description it sounds to me like a variation on Money Bass theme...but let's wait for the pictures.
In the reverb.com description, this was a year later, but basically the same as the "Money Bass". ajkula55, could you provide more information about that model, please?
