I totally agree with the previous two posters about the Hipshot bridge. It is larger than the original, but what an improvement! I haven't regretted installing the bridge on my T-Bird at all.

Hey evryone. Im knew here. I have found alot of useful info so far.. I love my gibson IV. Great sounding bass..
I tried post a pic..lets see if it shows up. I recently trade the 4 10 cab for a single 18 stacked with the dual 10's.. In my opinion it sounds alot better

My 1976 Gibson Grabber. Bought in Las Vegas for $300 15 years ago. I have the original case with crushed red velvet interior. The bass is almost perfect but the case has seen better days.

I have been gigging with it a little more. Moving away from active basses since I got my new Eden E210c. It sounds great with passive basses.

edit: can I get a number?

my beloved "poor man's thunderbird" 87 gibson IV, been my main go to bass lately, can't seem to put it down, very nice substantial feeling set neck literally sings in my hands, and the tone is everything i've been looking for in a bass.

So, back in High School (close to 20 years ago), I bought my first bass, a '72 Gibson EB-0. It had been modified a bit (different bridge, missing the bridge cover, and it looks like there might have been a partial re-fret on the upper frets), but it holds a special place in my heart as my first bass, and the one time I was asked to sell it, even though I hadn't played it in more than 15 years, I couldn't bring myself to do so. I still have it, and will post a pic for a number sometime soon.

(Honestly, I should probably thank the friend who wanted to buy it. Him asking and me refusing is what kinda propelled me to get back into playing bass after nearly 20 years of not doing so).

Anyway, I went to a show Monday night (Wagons from Melbourne, Australia), and was very pleased to see their bassist with a Gibson bass, but I couldn't identify which EB it is. So, I'm looking to ID the bass in this picture:

There's a pickup guard under his hand, and I think that's some kind of switch between the tone and volume pots. Any ideas?
