GK Legacy Combos

I got the 212 and so far so good- sounds great, modern snap with a great low end

Still wanna know abt the power (see 2 posts up) and the standby light stays on after the IEC cable is even unplugged, This last for a min or so - still waiting to hear back from Bob or Jason
The rear panel is marked wrong the 212 puts 800W internal the manual is correct. Thank you for pointing this out.

I got a Legacy 212 from Sweetwater yesterday. Indeed, the back panel and manual do not match regarding power output..
Question.. Can I safely pull the knobs off and set them right so center as indicated is actually center.. They all don't point the same way when at zero.. I think someone was in a hurry when they put the knobs on the amp I got. Just a little annoying..

You can remove the knobs to reposition them but I am upset this happened. They are not easily removed so be careful not to scratch the front panel. How many have this issue. We are pushing hard to fill our back orders but that is no excuse. You can be sure I will have a talk with the assemblers about this. They all want to make the best product possible so l’m guessing they will get on my case for pushing so hard.
My apologies

All fully CCW..
Thank you for replying RAG.

It sounds loud, clear and very GK..
I think I prefer two 112 cabs though..
It's not real heavy but it really should also have side handles like the CX cabs. Flip-up type. It would make it less cumbersome to move. It's a big combo. I thought my Orange OB1 combo was big. But the GK is nearly half the weight. Same vinyl covering as CX cabs. Light but stretchy grill cloth. Rubber feet have cutouts to mate with corner protectors for stacking. It's a nice rig.. Might not keep it though..

They are easy to pull off and reposition. Thank you.

Hello Everyone
i have an almost new MB212 II combo, so i wonder if it makes sense to trade it for a Legacy combo because of 300W power difference and probably a slight difference in sound ?
500W from MB212II is pretty enough for my needs, so is the difference in sound worth it ?

That's an individual decision. The Legacy has a lot of tonal control. And overdrive. If you don't need it I would wait a while. Of course I'm a huge hypocrite. I gassed as soon as the Legacy was available. Did I need it? No.. Did I WANT it? Yes!

So are the MBP powered cabinets history? I have a new MB112 ii that is looking for MBP112. It would be shame if they were discontinued. If I had known that were the case I would have likely bought something else since the whole point was the option of future expandability with the MB combos series.
