GK Legacy Combos

Here's an interesting shot from the Legacy Combo manual. Power output seems to be...strange.

Although I am not sure I understand the diagram, it seems to indicate that without an ext speaker it restricts the single 12" to 300 watts, which means it's not in the same universe as an Eminence Kappalite in terms of volume capability/power handling. If that's the case, then for my needs it's a fail.....but I maintain hope that the diagram applies only to the 500 watt model and still await Mr. Gallien's input.....

According to @rag earlier in this thread the specs at the back of the Legacy Combo manual are correct, so the 12" Legacy Combo is 400 watts with just the internal speaker.

Saw "legacy combo" and immediately gassed for:

Tell you what, these combos are tempting..and I hate combos. Mainly because the amps are normally substandard but these look to be basically the same Legacy heads in combo form.

I'm in the process of downsizing my setup since we don't play much and I want to get a pair of high quality lightweight 12" cabs to use with my 800 watt head. Most of those cabs are near $1000 alone, while the Legacy 112 combo is $1150. That would allow me to sell my amp. And while having a lightweight 23 pound cabinet is part of my downsizing goal, the Legacy combo is not bad at 32 pounds for head AND cab. It's got me thinking.

But, does anyone know if there are any plans for matching extension cabs?

All fully CCW..
Thank you for replying RAG.
Hey there - mine’s a bit wavy at full CCW as well - nothing like yours but I’m clearly not getting proper position in the EQ section. If you’ve gotten things to where all EQ knobs = true zero at noon, please post a pic of your CCW positions so I can accurately re-set mine. Many thanks!

I pulled them off and aligned them.

Thanks, I play with a very loud drummer and guitarist and imagine this will move about as much air as a 4x10. I definitely dig the 212 form factor.
I haven’t gigged my Legacy 212, but in a previous band (loud, 100-watt non master half stack, etc) I used a 212MBE cab of the same configuration powered with 500 Watts and it kept up easily.

I ordered the Legacy 212 a few weeks ago. Sweetwater told me that they expected them in last Friday. But I got a call today saying they did not come in and did not have a delivery date from GK yet.

The Legacy 210 and 212 sold out much faster than we anticipated. We will build more the last week of March they should be in stores around the first or second week of April.
