Gnomeratron VTF Club

A little birdie told me that #20 will be leaving the nest come Monday, on a journey to California. It's been a little longer than first anticipated, but I always quadruple custom build estimates, and I'm rarely wrong.

Needless to say, I'm all hopped up to see what color I'll get, and to finally hear what The Gnomeratron can do for ME!

Give it a break. If I can live with it, all of you certainly can.

Really guys, give him a break. We don't need to torture or ridicule him for his folly, he will be doing that to himself a few years from now.

When McSpunckle has become internationally renowned, and if you're lucky enough to find a third or fourth run VTF on ebay, it'll cost you thousands, cause you never see a first run up for sale.

When those of us who supported and praised him in the early days, get first crack at the newest and whackiest McSpunckle creation.

When all the big makers have reverse engineered the VTF, but no one can get it just right........

Gus will have plenty of reason to beat himself up, so just lay off, o.k.?

I should expect such as this. :eyebrow::scowl:

And I don't regret selling things - regret is for somebody else.

I'm only selling it because someone else needs to love it like it deserves to be loved. It sounds better than any other distortion I have ever tried on bass. But the number of times that I've actually used distortion, well, zero. So instead of just wanking with it at home, move it on to someone that can use it like it deserves. If I didn't think it was a great pedal, I'd probably keep it in the collection just because it looks damn cool too.

+1 I couldn't stand having a pedal (or other gear for that matter) in the collection that wasn't getting loved.

Oh, and guys, let's let the Gnomes bash our speakers, not Tb'ers :bassist:

^Absolutely. While it kinda irks me that some dudes are selling theirs before I`ve even had a chance to get mine,I fully agree with the logic of passing it along to some one who will enjoy it rather than let it sit on a shelf and let it collect dust.

What "irks" me is other people figuring they have the need to have something to say about a transaction that they had NO part of.

What "irks" me is that the whole world does not share my exquisite sense of humor.

When you carry on transactions on a public forum, sometimes the public will take notice, go figure............

O.K., I will just come right out and say it. Gus, if you feel like your were being genuinely attacked for your decision to sell your Gnomeratron, by anybody in this thread, then I think you have suffered a severe misunderstanding.

breath in one nostril......... hold it........ then out the other.....

Hey! Don`t go using words I`ve said with quotes around them! I`ll get the angry gnome mob focused back on you! Forget about Cybersnyder! Get back to Gus!!!
Like I said,I`m being sarcastic. I`m sorry if you feel like you`re being ganged up on. It can be hard to read the tone of something written, but I`m only joking.
It`s true that the highly impatient part of me is ""irked""(see what I did there? Double quotes!) that some random guy can get his second hand gnome before I even get my custom made super cool limited edition gnome pedal that I`m still waiting for but that`s as far as it goes.
It totally makes sense to sell something if you`re not going to use it, for whatever reason. I`m in complete agreement with you on that.
