Transparent aluminum is now a real thing too, but I couldn't find a photo of it.

I only used that term because "movie magic" implies something cool, like a blinking Gorn Captain, whereas "George Lucas'd" implies something along the lines of "Greedo shot first", which is absolute B.S.!

I get why people are ribbing you. But from where I sit, their smirky gigglefest is just as rib-worthy (no offense y'all, socialize as ya like).
But Cole - I'll ask ya a sincere question. My whole musical experience has been jamming with others even when we could barely play. None of us really seem to get much satisfaction outta learning from tab/ or playing along with tracks.
I get that lots of people do it, and that we are in the minority. I get that many people do that and also jam with others. I get that it can help build certain skills.
But I guess I don't entirely get what's fun about it. And have always wondered. So... Without making fun of you, and out of genuine curiosity as an older guy who came to music in a different way ... A question I normally wouldn't ask because it might seem impolite...
But since your putting it out there:
Why/how is playing along with tracks fun for you (and presumably others)?
Why is it fun to post videos of yourself doing it?
Peace. Keep playing bass. Post whatever ya like.
