I went all in with the pahoehoes. They sound great. All warmth and thud, but unfortunately I can't play it now for a few weeks until the D and G settle. I was noodling on it while it was temporarily settled at EAAD. It was interesting.

I received a set of Thunder Reds yesterday and installed them on my Mbass. To me then sound a bit punchier compared to the OEM strings.

For Uke/21 inch scale?
Yes, they are for the shorter scale but I didn't realize that until I received them. I installed them anyway and they seem to be working.
Wonderful.
How do they feel for slickness / stickiness compared to OEM?
Less sticky but not as smooth.
Are the diameters smaller?
A bit, but I haven't yet felt the need to change the nut.
How's the intonation?
Seems to be the same as it was with the OEM strings.
Were they long enough to tie knots in?
Yes.
Assuming that's what you did. Are they very stretchy?
I didn't think so.
When you say less sticky but not as smooth as oem, do you mean the stock thunderguts on the micro?
OEM means whatever came with the micro. I thought it was "yellow" Thunderguts (more of a pale beige color).
Are they not sticky at all? Or just a little less sticky?
Less sticky
How stable are they?
Don't know yet. They're still stretching and I can't tend to them all day so I tune them a bit sharp morning and night until they stabilize.
Sorry for the attack of questions but you're the first with these strings, and if I can order the ubass set directly from kala, I'd rather do that than order the shortbass set from Italy with a dodgy order form.
