That's pretty much what I had deductively assumed...but of course for every one that was really gigged hard all the time, there are probably twenty or thirty or fifty that never did more than the occasional gig.

I love my SWR G II. I'd love to find another one in the excellent condition that mine is in. It's probrably the best cab I have ever owned and I have owned a lot of them. The only thing I don't like is the weight. But you can't have it all. The best port hole story I can tell is that when I brought it to my drummers house to rehearse one of the kittens that his cat just had crawled into it. Thank god I noticed it before I fired it up or that would have been one deaf kitten. I had to reach into the port hole and fetch it out.

I remember the first time I played a II. I was in a blues bar in San Jose, CA. The band I was working with ("The High Rollers" from San Francisco) arrived late to play at a sort of jam/open mic thing in hopes of landing a few weekends for pay, which we did. :bassist:

There was a II on stage with a racked Demeter Pre and a power amp. After the first song, I knew I had to have a rig like that. The cab was a II. :eek:

I think it is my favorite cab, too, though the Epifani NYC 210 I bought from Gruuv is very very good. Funny thing is they work so very well together. Never thought I'd be a 6x10 kinda guy...:bassist:

I have the Goliath II Paired with a USA Ampeg BSE 15T.

I leave the tweeter off on the Ampeg and get the high end from the SWR. Nice Cab - Paid $200 for mine it is very good condition.

There is a pretty good review of the Cab here on TB under reviews. I know I read it when I was thinking of buying mine.
