Good Bass Compressor

Hey Everyone,

I'm looking for a good bass compressor. Any recommendations?

I currently have a Fender Mexican Jazz Bass and play in a modern folk rock band (if that helps). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

For what reason are you wanting a compressor? There are a lot of options out there.

I've tried several over the years and the only one that I ended up sticking with is my MarkBass Compressore. It's a tad pricey, but I love what it does to my sound.

I am pleasantly surprised with the ROCTRON Sacred Fire.

I use it mostly as a limiter... for the money... It does quite well...

The Diamond bass compressor sounds great and is really simple to use. I would love to try an Analogman Comprosser, though.

Narrowed my (re)search down to Diamond, and scored one off a fellow TBer. Next compressor I would like to try is an Empress. Oh, and I have a Boss LMB-3 Limiter Enhancer that was a freebie thrown in with a ply DB purchase.

Well, now that I've contributed nada to the thread... as you were people. Well, maybe I can contribute that there is a wealth of info here and it helped me make an educated decision.
